NOVEMBER 15, 1944 ~ MARCH 2, 2019 (AGE 74)

Mrs. Betty Bennett Justice, age 74, of Gibsonville, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her residence after several weeks of failing health.

A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Helen Lynch Varner Bennett and was married for over 57 years to John Amos Justice, Sr., who survives.

Betty was formerly employed with Stadler’s Country Hams and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Elon, where she was President of her Sunday School Class and part of the Hospitality Team.

Mrs. Justice is survived by her husband of the home; her daughter, Christy Leath and her husband, Doug.; her son, Johnny Justice; three grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Justice and Caroline Leath; a brother, Jim (Helen) Bennett; several special cousins; and her loving pet dog, “Rocky” and granddogs, “Lizzy”, “Bucky”, “Rocko”, “Maggie Mae” and “Boudreaux”.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Elon by Rev. David Durham and Rev. J. D. Weed. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
