Mr. McGee, 83, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 8, 2019 in Alexandria, LA.
He was a native of Colfax and was a member of the Pentecostals of Alexandria, where he was a longtime usher. He was a multi-skilled worker, which included owning a trailer park, building homes and a driver for Trailways Bus Line and also Rapides Parish School Board. His passion in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed four-wheeler riding, fishing, hunting, and traveling. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rolen and Lettie McGee.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Barbara "Bobbye" Lawson McGee, of Alexandria; one son, Kent McGee and his wife, Dana, of Pollock; one brother, Tommie McGee and his wife, Gladys, of Bentley; one sister, Mary Sue Hughes, of Huntsville, TX.; two grandchildren, Kyle McGee and Emily, of Pollock and MiKayla McGee and fiance', Riley Crawford, of Pollock and three great grandchildren, Gavin, Euri and Ellie.
Friends may call at the P.O.A.-G.A. Mangun Center, on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve are: Kyle McGee, Riley Crawford, Wayne Lawson, Mickey Leblanc, Todd Walley, Kenny Nichols and Danny Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Walley and Harold Muse.
