PHYLLIS BAILEY BENNETT: 52; former Shelton resident, died in a SaltLake City-Utah hospital Friday [3-27] after a long illness. MrsBennett was born 28 Sep 1900 in Wellsvl UT. She was the widow of DanielQ Bennett-Shelton & lived here following her marriage to MrBennett at Toppenish WA, 6 Feb 1922, until his death in July 1944. Since that time she had lived in SaltLakeCity. MsBennett was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Relief Society in SaltLakeCity & Shelton & was the first president of the Shelton Relief Society.
Surviving are her mother: MrsOliveF Young; a son: Daniel Rob't Bennett; a dau: Edith Elaine Trottier-SaltLakeCity; a bro: Paul Bailey-Los Angeles; 2 sis: Anna Dextorius, Edith Anderson-SaltLake City & 4 grandchildren-all SaltLakeCity.
A graveside service will be held this afternoon [Thursday 4-02] at the SheltonCem. Last rites were held Monday in SaltLakeCity.
