DRUMMONDS - Myrtle Cain Strickland, 83, retired from civil service, died Sunday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis. She was a member of Naval Reserve. Mrs. Strickland, the widow of John F. Strickland, leaves two daughters, Gayle Strickland of Memphis and Joye Strickland of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Roger Strickland of Drummonds; eight sisters, Joan Marzullo of Chicago, Catherine Krupa of Crestview, Ill., Mary Pat Cain of Miami, Fla., Patricia Jackson of Aptos, Ga., Rita Cain of Rockford, Ill., and May Loomis, Regina Shumacher and Shelia Butler, all of Champaign, Ill.; a brother, Paul Cain of Champaign, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
