Shirley graduated from Winfield High School in 1970. She worked for various restaurants in Elsberry and was primarily a homemaker. Shirley loved playing bingo, reading Danielle Steel books and watching old western shows. Shirley was the type of person that could get along with anyone and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her two sons: Curtis Zumwalt of Winfield, MO and Sonny Owens of Bowling Green, MO; four brothers: Kenny Zumwalt, Mike Zumwalt, Ray Zumwalt and Bill Zumwalt; step-children: John Owens, Patti Owens and Julie Owens; one son-in-law, Terry Ripka; grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Felicia Ripka and one sister, Joyce Zumwalt.
Services will be held at a later date at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel, located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379.
