Manuel Auston, 65, of Rolling Fork, died 21 March 1977 at the Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital after an illness.

Funeral services are scheduled at St. Matthews M. B. Church in Fitler. Rev. T. R. Clay will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Edwards and Evans Funeral Home of Greenville is in charge.

Mr. Auston was a member of the Deacon Board at St. Matthews and was superintendent of the Sunday school. He was also a member of the Mount Album Union Society.

Mr. Auston is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Auston of Rolling Fork; one daughter, Mrs. mrs lee Wesley fo Memphis, Tenn.; one son, Manual Auston Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Susan lee Ward of Richmond, Calif.; and several grandchildren.
