Ann married widower Alfred Harris at St George, Hanover Square in 1868. Her husband had eight children when she married him and they had a further six children. Her husband was a very wealthy banker.
At the time of his second marriage they moved from Bingley, where he had lived with his first wife, to a new home he had built in Kirkby Lonsdale. This was designed by the eminent architect Alfred Waterhouse and was built in the gothic revival style with stained glass designed by Edward Burne-Jones. He also had other houses built in this town which are all in the gothic style with his initials on them. He founded a school of handicrafts for local children which encouraged them to take up are and crafts.
They moved to Wharfenden in Frimley Green in 1899 and her husband died here in 1901. After his death she moved to London. Anne died in Streatham on the 4th of April 1927 and was buried at St Peter’s on the 8th of April.
