Obituary for Mrs. Patricia "Pat" A Lewis
Patricia “Pat” A. Lewis, 88, of Columbus passed from this life on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 5:10A.M. at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital.
Born on February 25, 1931 in Bedford, Indiana the daughter of William Fiddler and Mary Louise Pace Dalton. On June 25, 1949 she married Joseph R. Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis retired from the State Board of Health where she was a registered nurse and had previously worked at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a member of Garden City Church of Christ, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Retired Nurses Association. She was very active in her church where she and her husband taught in the Cherub church, she served on the Silver Oaks board, and she loved flowers, flower gardening, and being a Christian clown.
Survivors include her children, Joe Randy Lewis II of Columbus and Sherri Armuth of Indianapolis; one grandson, Charles R. Armuth; sisters, Kathleen Milburn of Indianapolis, Shirley (Paul) Sewell of Arizona, Karen Garrity of Columbus, Janet Baker of Mississippi, Linda (Bill) James of Mississippi, and Carol (Mike) Porter of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on August 14, 2001; and a brother, Jack Dalton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:30 A.M. at Garden City Church of Christ with Brian Gilroy and Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. to time of service at the church.
Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Hemophilia Foundation
