William was born the son of the late David & Amanda (Ott) Geigert and had spent his early years in Pennsylvania and Davison since 1996. Answering the call of his country, Bill served in the US Army during WWII, he fought in the Battle of Normandy, “Omaha Beach”, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. William in his youth organized Bible Clubs, and youth rallies in Philadelphia; later he directed choirs at various churches, was a tenor vocalist, and led special needs Blind Bible Studies. He also served as a Sunday school teacher, guest preacher at various churches and served as church organist. He attended University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business & Finance. He served as Corporate Secretary of commercial property and casualty with Maryland Casualty Insurance Company for forty-eight years, retiring in 1985. He is preceded in death by brothers David Geigert, and Elwood Geigert.
