PS.... In 1863 .... Virginia was divided into 2 separate states; WEST Virginia & Virginia. When researching info, records, etc., information from BOTH States should be considered as any or all of it could be correct! .... ie: William really WAS born in Virginia then in 1863 the portion of Virginia he was born in became part of the newly created WEST Virginia.
