Capt William Berry, son of Fielding and Elizabeth McPherson Berry and husband of Evaline Alkire, served in 1st Co I and 2nd Co G (62nd Infantry) for the CSA. He was in the Northwest Bridgade, captured at Leesburg, VA, sent to Elmira, NJ prison and in 1896 died in a Memphis, TN hospital.
