Ross W. Albee, 88, of 12 E. Germania St., Ashley, died Wednesday in Wyoming Valley Hospital where he was a patient for the past week.
He was a son of the late William J. and Alice Cunius Albee, born Sept. 2, 1891 (sic), in Ashley. He attended Ashley schools and later became a conductor for the New Jersey Central Railroad, retiring in 1961. He was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church and a former member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Shafer; sons, Robert and William, both of Ashley; daughter, Mrs. Alice Balutis, Ashley; brother, Harry, Buffalo, N.Y.; sister, Mrs. George Lutz, Ashley; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Friday at 12:30 p.m. in the Homer E. Graham Funeral Home, 324 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, Rev. Dr. Larry Saxe officiating. Interment, Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
