Georgann Banner, 81, of 1877 Wright Mountain Road in Rock, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at her residence.

Born July 26, 1927 in Dante, Va., she was the daughter of the late George and Sallie Cowan Banner. She was retired from management with General Motors Acceptance Corporation, a graduate of Princeton High School, and attended Concord College. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include her special friends and caregivers she thought of as own children, Paula Cole and Ensley Wyatt of Rock.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Randy Adkins officiating. Entombment will follow. Those attending the service are asked to be at the mausoleum chapel by the service hour on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 304, Princeton, WV 24740.
