Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EST on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EST, one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Norris was born July 16, 1931 in Brundidge, AL to Reuben “Buck” Allen and Pearl Pritchett Allen. She was a long-time member of Ladonia Baptist Church and loved her church. Mrs. Norris loved to work; she was administrative assistant at Valley Service Company for many years and later taught adult education for the Muscogee County School System. After retirement, she became the Director of Little Lambs Daycare at Ladonia Baptist Church and then worked for the Chattahoochee Valley Regional Library System as a librarian , until she had to stop work to care for her husband.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Norris, and two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Dorothy Lee.
She is survived by a son, James Allen Norris and Linda of Phenix City, AL; a daughter, Pamela Norris Ray and Jerry of Phenix City, AL; extended generations.
