Sunday morning, February 7, at 3:30 o'clock, Mrs Jessie Calhoun Baird died at her home on Willow road after a short illness. The cause of her death was pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the residence Monday, Rev. J M Shive officiating. The interment took place at Oakdale Cemetery.
Mrs Baird was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Calhoun of Glasgow, Scotland, who came to this county about half a century ago. She was the widow of the late George W Baird of Akron, Ohio. For the past few years she had made her home with her nephew John C. Waddill.
Mrs. Baird was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the community in their loss.
