RESIDENT OF AREA DIES AT AGE OF 56

Franklin Lentz, 56, of 722 E. Jefferson St., Waupun, died late Monday at Waupun Memorial Hospital where he was a patient for two weeks.

He was born May 4, 1914, at Waukau, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lentz. He married Edna Dicker on July 17, 1937, at Horicon.

The couple lived in Horicon for five years and then Mr. Lentz was transferred to Waupun where he was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad for 42 years.

He was a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Waupun, an active member of the railroad union and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Waupun.

Mr. Lentz is survived by his widow; and a sister, Mrs. Harold Voelkel of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Waupun, with the Rev. Pius Poff officiating. Burial will be in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun.

Friends and relatives of Mr. Lentz may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Werner-Beyers Funeral Home, Waupun.
