MORRISON, Ill. — Dr. Warren E. Bohnhoff, 86, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, August 24, 2015, at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL, with the Rev. Mark Winkelman, Senior Pastor / Rev. Mike Winkelman, Associate Pastor, St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL, co-officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Morrison Chapel – Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL and Morrison Lions Club. Bohnhoff was born September 17, 1928 in Plymouth, WI to Albert A. and Meada (Kaeding) Bohnhoff. Doc was educated in the Plymouth Grade School and was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Plymouth, WI. He received a bachelor of dairy science from the University of Wisconsin and a doctorate of veterinary medicine from Iowa State University. He first married Rebecca C. Cureton. He then married Bonnie K. (Card) Martin on November 16, 1984, in Morrison, IL; she survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Doc was a practicing veterinarian in Morrison and for Whiteside County for many years. He was later employed as a diary nutritionist for Agri-King Inc., Fulton, IL and ANC, DeForest, WI. Doc was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL, served as a deacon and on the church board. He was a member of the Morrison Lions Club, Morrison American Legion Post #328. Doc was known for the planting of walnut trees and his love for animals. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Nancy (Jerry Smith) Bohnhoff, Fayetteville, AR; one son, Brian Bohnhoff, Zephyrhills, FL; two step-sons, Robert (Laura) Martin, Lake Elmo, MN, and John (Brenda) Martin, Morrison, IL; two step-daughters, Wendy (Sonny) Sanders, Marion, IL, and Laurie (Guy) Kimura, Irvine, CA; 12 step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pearl Bilgo, Helen Riley; and two brothers, Roy Bohnhoff, Wilbur Bohnhoff. Death date: Aug. 24, 2015
