Eileen L. Reed, age 83, of Alliance, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Altercare of Alliance. She was born April 27, 1927, in New Martinsville, West Virginia, to Ira E. and Olive M. (Long) Ruble and lived in the Alliance area most of her life. Eileen was a member of the Alliance Baptist Temple. She was employed by the former Lamborn Floral for six years and then Alliance Rubber Company for 18 years. Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Richard A. Reed, whom she married September 10, 1960: two daughters, Cathy L. (Wendell) Bettis of Alliance and Rosemary E. (Paul) Messenger of Cuyahoga Falls; son, Larry G. (Marilyn) Williamson of Alliance; five grandchildren, Ronald Williamson, Bethany Bettis, Jorden Bench, Hollie Bench and Jesse Bettis; two brothers, Ira (Helen) Ruble of Alma, WV and Lloyd (Nancy) Ruble of Alliance; three sisters, Louise (John) Murner of Sistersville, WV, Wilma (Clyde) Yost of Middleburne, WV, and Joann Murner of Paden City, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Blizzard; three brothers, Charles Ruble, Henry Ruble and William Ruble; and grandson, Todd Williamson. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Payne officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 408 9th St., Canton, Ohio 44707-4714.
