Carmel Manns, 90, of rural Akron, Indiana passed at 5:40 pm, Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on May 25, 1928 in Carey, Ohio to Mitchell and Gracie (Barnett) Manns.

He married on June 11, 1948 in Salyersville, Kentucky to Opal Smith, she survives.

Carmel worked for General Tire of Wabash for 22 years. He also owned Manns & Sons Garage in Akron and retired from Da-Lite Screen of Warsaw. After retiring he worked at Craig Welding of Mentone.

He was a member Sweetwater Assembly of God of North Manchester. He enjoyed hunting, horses, and cattle on the farm. He was known as an ornery joker with family and friends. He also enjoyed Southern Gospel music.
