He was born June 14, 1924, in Independence, Mo., the son of William Ray Harris and Mildred Alice (Brandon) Harris. On July 31, 1944, in Raytown, Mo., he married Thelma Mae Graves and she survives of the home.
Mr. Harris farmed and also worked for several companies including the Penrod Gunstock Manufacturing Company, Kansas City, Mo.; Gleaner Harvester, Independence, Mo.; Sam Mulkey Company, Knob Town, Mo.; and Kenworth Trucks, Kansas City, Mo., from where he retired.
In addition to his wife, Thelma, Mr. Harris is survived by a son, Dennis Lee Harris, Portland, Oregon; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Blackmore, Windsor, Mo.; 2 grandchildren, Brian Allen Blackmore and Cheryl Ann Blackmore; a great-grandson, Zak; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Graves, Warrensburg, Mo.
Cremation. Private family Memorial services will be held at a later date.
