Tragically, John died at age 19 from a hunting accident. I read his obituary once and it was a beautiful flowing account of his brief life and of how he died. He apparently lingered for some time after the accident before passing away. It must have been terrible for his family.
My grandfather James (Jim) Wm. Croushorn was the next son, born in 1871. They also had a son named Charles. In addition there were three sisters Ollie Croushorn Harshbarger who married Henry Harshbarger, went to live in Montana, and later they removed to Pass Christian, Miss. where their descendants live today as well as in Alabama - and some in the Pacific Northwest.
There was a sister Annie and a sister Fanny.
I have located the grave of Ollie Croushorn Harshbarger and maintain it. You can look it up among my list here.
