Mrs. Bell was born in South Norfolk and was the widow of Marion D. Bell. She was a retired bus driver with Transit Co. and a member of Somme Avenue Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Bell James of Carrollton, Va.; two sons, Marion Rodman Bell of Norfolk and Thor Allen Bell of Florida; two brothers, John Rodman Hoyt of Chesapeake and Armistead Paul Hoyt of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Crystal James Foy and Johnny M. James; and two great-grandchildren, James Denard Foy and Allen Bell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. William Gregory. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
