Last name Thompson, also spelled Thomson and Thomsen
Rosanna McIntyre married James Thompson on 23 April 1868 at Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Her parents were said to be Arthur McIntyre and Sarah Gordon. James & Rosanna followed very strictly the old Scottish naming custom in that their first three sons were named William, Arthur, and James, in that order, this being the names of the children's paternal grandfather, maternal grandfather and father in that order. The only two girls were named Sarah and Mary, in that order, being for their maternal grandmotherand paternal grandmother.
Rosanna died in March 1886 when her youngest son Andrew(Frisbe) was born.
