Agnes (Duncan) Mulvaney was born in Scotland and married John Mulvaney born in Ireland some time around 1825. They came to Dennysville Maine around the early 1830's and had a daughter Lydia born in Dennysville who married John Wesley Clark of Pembroke.
In the 1850 census in Dennysville John's wife is given as Nancy. John was born Ireland, age 53 and Nancy was 44, also listed as born Ireland. With them were children Ellen 15, John 13, James 10, Lydia A. 4 and Anna 2. I believe they also had an older daughter Elizabeth who would have been about 18 at this time and an older daughter Mary who had been born in Scotland and married Pyram Wilder of Dennysville in 1846.
Note: Two stones broken and on the ground. The date on the stone for Nancy looks like died 1857 and there is a cemetery record which shows died 1857 at age 52. There is also a memorial for Nancy in Mt Hope Cemetery in Bangor Maine. Her son James and family were buried at Mt Hope and all have stones. If Nancy was later moved from her resting place at East Ridge in #14 to Mt. Hope, she is not listed in their burial records nor does she have a stone.
