She emigrated to the United States from Italy circa 1882, after her Husband Domenick Romano, meeting each other in the Mulberry Street section of Manhattan in the 4th quarter of the 19th Century. After they wed, they Lived on 143 Mulberry Street, and had 8 Children: Philip, Rocco, Peter, Josephine(-Latella), Mayme (-Fasolino), Mary, Rose (-Capillo), and a sister whose name is unknown who died of suicide at age 18 or 19 .

The matriarch of the family died of cancer at the age of 31.
