Albert Comstock.

Died--At his home Richards, Missouri, Saturday, 2:30 o'clock p, m., February 3, 1906, Albert Comstock, aged 62 years, 7 months and 6 days.

Albert Comstock was born at the old homestead, 2 miles east of LaHarpe and was a resident of this vicinity for 59 years. He was the youngest son of Henry and Lucy Comstock who came to LaHarpe in the early days with the Maynards and other families. The parents were charter members of the Congregational church of this city and Albert became a member in 1865 and was active in the work until his health began to fail and removed to La Port, Texas in February, 1900, where he lived a short time and then moved to Richards, his home at the time of his death.

He was married Dec. 23, 1866 to Miss Narcissa Strong and to them were born ten children, two, Chesley and Robert having preceded the father in death, and the 8 surviving ones are: Grant P. and Alfred, of this city, Jo [sic] of Denver, Colo.; Ernie, of Hutchison, Kansas; Mrs. Lena Benedict, of Richards, Mo.; Orpha, Ethel and George at home, together with the wife and mother who is in very feeble health and unable to make the sad trip back to the old home.

He also leaves two brothers, John, of Kansas and George B. of Omaha, Nebraska.

Albert Comstock was a man beloved by his fellow men and his honesty and integrity was [sic] never questioned, and the news of his death was received with sadness by the whole community.

The remains arrived this morning and the funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Congregational church. Rev. A. F. Marsh officiating. Burial in LaHarpe cemetery.
