Gail Lynch Manning, 63, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm at St. James United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Gail was born January 7th 1956 to William Powell Lynch and Violet Logan Lynch of Pinnacle, NC. Following her young mother’s death, she was enrolled at Oxford Orphanage from 1966 to 1974. One of the greatest blessings of her life was when Les & Evelyn Garner of Greenville opened their hearts and home to her and her brother Barry. She was a proud East Carolina alumni, earning her Bachelors and Masters in Education, becoming a Pitt County school teacher for 21 years, teaching at G.R. Whitfield and Wintergreen Elementary. Gail was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mac E. Manning Jr; step daughter, Frances Manning and fiancé, Shawn Lynn of Ayden; brothers, Gary Lynch of Pilot Mountain, Barry Lynch of King, Allen Lynch of Westfield, Les Garner, Jr. & wife Katrina of Eli, Iowa, Griff Garner and wife Christie of Greenville; sisters, Sheila Lynch Palmer of Westfield, Frankie Lynch Sutton and husband Wayne of Fayetteville, Elaine Denton and husband Wayland of Greenville; sister-in-law, Susan Manning, of Williamston; brother-in-law, Jim Manning of Hillsborough; along with many nieces and nephews.
