Mrs. Margaretha Davis, 81, wife of the late C.B. Davis, assistant Ward County States Attorney and Minot police magistrate for 15 years, died Monday in a hospital in Vancouver, B.C. She had been staying with a son at the time.
Mrs. Davis, the former Margaretha Rodger, was born November 24, 1878, in Lyons, Michigan. On July 31, 1907, she and Mr. Davis were married at Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1908, the couple moved to Minot and made their home here until the death of Mr. Davis in 1952. Mrs. Davis had been living with her son and daughters.
Surviving are a son, Rodger B. Davis, Vancouver; two daughters, Mrs. Eskel (Carlotta) Kjellberg, Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Leslie (Helen) Collinson, Bremerton, Washington; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Esca Rodger, Nogales, Arizona.
Funeral has been set tentatively for Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jack Zeruks D.D. will officiate.
