Another Good Woman Has Gone to Her Reward
Miss Ann Whittington, age 78 years, and a life-long resident of this county, peacefully fell asleep at the home of her niece, Mrs. Martice Harris, on the evening of January 30th. While she had been in feeble health for a long while, yet, the immediate cause of her death was pneumonia.
In many respects the latter part of this good woman’s life was lonely; all of her near relatives, having passed on several years before her demise, and while that is true, yet all was done by her devoted niece and her husband, to make the life of this good woman as pleasant and happy as possible.
She was a faithful member of the Lebanon Missionary Baptist church and evidenced her faithfulness to the spirit of Christianity by ever being ready and willing to visit the sick and ministering to the poor.
Verily, a good woman has passed away and though dead she yet speaketh. Her remains were interred in the Bethlehem cemetery the funeral service conducted by Rev. J. T. Adams.
