Reed was the only son of Uriah "Rue" McMurrin Smith and Evelyn "Effie" Gray. He had 2 older sisters and 1 younger sister. Married in 1941 Ellen Denise Chamberlain. They had 2 daughters Eileen and Kathleen. Was drafted into the Army and served in the Phillippines and Japan during WWII. Worked for the U.S. Government after his return and lived in Salt Lake City. Had a great sense of humor and could tell great stories! Sure miss you Uncle Reed.
