Mrs. Minerva Orem, colored, died at the home of her son, Rev. E. B. Orem, New Market, on Tuesday night about 9:30 o'clock, aged about 96 years. General debility was the cause of her death. She is survived by four sons.
The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon at two o'clock, with services in the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. S. A. Lewis. The pallbearers will be William Dorsey, Samuel Ways, George Sprigg, Dennis and Nicholas Sewell, and Elias Wineberry. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. W. E. Falconer of New Market is the funeral director.
