Mrs. Inez Lydia Begole, a former resident of this community, died Sunday evening in a Kirksville hospital at the age of seventy-eight. She had been in bad health for several months and a patient at the hospital since the 4th of December.
The daughter of Samuel and Maxine Miles Clemison, she was born near Wilsontown on July 4, 1878.
She married Charles M. Begole and eleven children were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one child who died in infancy.
Survivors include ten children, Mrs. May Davis of New Boston, Mrs. Marybelle Salters of Center, Colorado, Mrs. Vivian Bragg of Kirksville, Mrs. Marie Burt of Kirksville, Mrs. Clara Richardson of Yakima, Washington, Bert Begole of Gibbs, Dean Begole of Garden City, Kansas, Don Begole of Arlington, Texas, Waner Begole of St. Joseph, Harl Begole of Gifford and one step-brother, Ray Begole of Mexico, Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Retired since 1943, the Begoles had made their home in Kirksville.
Funeral services were at the Seventh Day Adventis Church near Goldsberry yesterday afternoon at 2:00. Rev. Ralph Hicks officiated. Burial was in the adjacent Helton Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
