She was born December 29, 1956 in Charleston, S.C.
Rita was a Payroll Clerk for Tarter Gate Company.
Preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Popplewell.

daughter: Melinda Carole Bunch King, Randleman, N.C.
2 grandchildren: William Isaiah King, Hannah Elizabeth King
mother: Ann Popplewell, Jamestown
brother: Robert I. (Donita) Popplewell, Rogersville, TN
sister: Regina (Billy) Roy, Colorado

Funeral service for Rita Popplewell Johnson will be 10 AM. Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Russell officiating. Visitation 5-8 PM. Wednesday and after 8 AM. on Thursday.
Interment in the Square Oak Cemetery
Her daughter's request is that donations be made to Ky Daughters of the American Revolution and/or Jane Lampton Chapter in Columbia instead of flowers.
