Hale Bailey passed away at the age of 79. He was born to Mary R. Bailey and Wallace Bailey. Hale was raised in Diamond Valley/Eureka, Nev., on the original family homestead that his brother Wilfred still owns and operates. He graduated from Eureka High School in 1945 and went on to serve his country in the Korean War for a short time. He then returned to the family ranch to help his mother. He married Donna Ray Miller in 1959. They raised their sons in Pine Valley where Hale has lived for the past fifty-nine years. Over this time Hale and his sons took on additional jobs such as haying, fencing, and trapping to help support the family. Hale's greatest loves in his life were, family, ranching, irrigating, picnics, fishing and of course his beloved auctions.
Hale was a lifetime resident of Eureka County. During which time he served as a Eureka county commissioner for twenty years. He also was the Fire Chief for the Pine Valley Volunteer Fire Department for many, many years. He is survived by his wife Donna of 48 years, sons Jim Bailey, Ray Bailey (Jackie), Dan Bailey (Stephanie), Step-son Larry Kilpatrick (Carol), grandson Chancey Bailey, granddaughter Desire'Bailey, step-grandsons Drew Kilpatrick, Corey Kilpatrick, and Mace Kipatrick, sister Rachel Marshall (Bill), brother Wilfred Bailey (Barbara), sister-in-law Dea Bailey, sister-in-law Jenny Brown, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Mary R. Bailey, son Michael Bailey, brother Lee Bailey, and brother Booth Bailey.
