The death of Miss Frances Eva Michaels, 20, of 57 Creek Street, Swoyerville, occurred at 3:55 yesterday morning in General Hospital, where she was admitted Wednesday night at 10:30 after several days illness at home. Miss Michaels was a member of a family of athletes and she was a member of the girls' basketball team at Swoyerville High School.) Four of her six brothers played on the Swoyerville football teams and three played on college football teams. Graduating from high school In 1945, she enrolled at College Misericordia, later attending Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg State Teachers' Colleges. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Swoyerville, and its Blessed Virgin Sodality. Her father, Walter Michaels, died on February 16, 1946, and a brother, Edward, an outstanding football and baseball player, was listed as missing in action in the South Pacific on November 4. 1942, while serving with the First Marines Division. I She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary Michaels, and the following brothers: Stanley and Thomas, Swoyersville, Joseph former University of Pennsylvania football player now at Drexel College, Philadelphia, Walter Jr., Washington, DC and Louis at home. The Funeral will be held from the home Monday Morning at 9 A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 in St, Mary's Church and interment in St. Josephs Cemetery. West Wyoming. I .
