SEPTEMBER 9, 1936 ~ JULY 22, 2019 (AGE 82)
Sue Jones, 82, a lifelong resident of Rossville, was residing at Country Haven Retirement, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Tabernacle. For many years Sue taught Sunday school at Philadelphia Baptist church with her husband having over 60 young adults in their class. She loved God, always caring for children treating them as her own and above all else loved her family. She had been employed with J.C. Penny and Sears.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bud Jones, son Charles Edward Jones, parents Fred C. & Mattie Games, and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include son, Lebron Jones, daughter-in-law, Debra Jones, grandchildren, Russell and Courtney Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be help on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. David Stancil officiating. Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Country Haven Retirement for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to Country Haven Retirement Building Fund, 120 Country Haven Lane, Ringgold, Ga 30736.
