Mrs. Elizabeth Hess [sic], age 91 years, seven months and twenty-eight days, died at 1 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Scholz, three and a half miles northeast of Doniphan. She is survived by Mrs. Scholz and two sons. Her husband died 32 years ago, and just before she passed away she spoke his name. Mrs. Hess was one of the oldest settlers of that locality; she was born in Germany. The funeral will be held from the residence at 11 o'clock tomorrow; burial in Rosedale cemetery.
