Irene Shea Auger, 59, of 8 Raymond Rd., Guilford, CT, passed away Thursday, (December 8, 2011), after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Irene was 59, wife of the late Robert T. Auger Sr.. Born in Middletown, CT on December 4, 1952, daughter of the late Henry James and Stacia M. Gowac Shea. Loving mother of Robert Auger Jr. and his wife Marcy and James Auger both of Guilford, CT. Also survived by her two beloved granddaughters, Kelsey and Nicole Auger and her sister Linda Shea of Moodus, CT. Irene was a member of the Hook and Ladder Ladies Auxiliary. Her favorite times were spent with her granddaughters, camping at Acorn Acres and vacations at Sanibel Island, FL. The Auger family would like to thank the staff at Smilow Cancer Center and the staff at CT Hospice, for their loving care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. in St. Bridget's Church, Moodus, CT. Burial to follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Moodus, CT.
