William is buried in Wilmot People's Cemetery with his second wife Jane.(CS) According to the gravestone found August 2000 in Wilmot Valley Cemetery, PEI William W. Stymeist died May 24, 1909, age 82 years, and Jane McQuarry died Nov. 1, 1905, age 83 years. (CS)

William Stymeist received a 100 acre Land Grant (#8861) on September 18, 1858 in the Parish of Alnwick, Northumberland Co., New Brunswick. It was situated adjacent to the grant of his father, Benjamin Stymest III (Jr.) bordering on the Road to Neguac to Stymiest Mill Stream where Benjamin built his saw and grist mills. (CS)

The Land Grant to William Stymeist, his Heirs and Assigns transcribes as follows:

'Victoria, by the grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, & Etc. To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye, that we, of Our special grace, certain knowledge, and mere motion, have given and granted, and We do, by these Presents, for Us, Our Heirs and Successors, give and grant unto William W. Stymest, his Heirs and Assigns a tract of land situate in the Parish of Alnwick in the County of Northumberland in our Province of New Brunswick and bounded as follows: to wit beginning at a birch tree standing in the Northeasterly angle of lot number fifty-eight in Block nine and on the Westerly side of the Road from Neguac to Stymests Mill Stream, thence running by the Magnet of the year one thousand eight hundred and forty five; South Seventy one degrees; West sixty seven chains to a maple tree; thence South nineteen degrees West, nineteen chains; thence North eighty two degrees East; sixty seven chains or so to a stump standing on the Westerly side of the road above mentioned and thence following the various courses of the ? in a Southerly direction to the place of the beginning; Containing one hundred acres more or less and distinguished as Lot number fifty nine in Block nine; and also particularly described and marked on the Plot or Plan of Survey hereunto annexed; together with all profits, commodities, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining; except and reserved, nevertheless, out of this present grant, to Us, Our Heirs and Successors, all Coals, and also all Gold, and Silver, and other Mines and Minerals: TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Grant of Land and all and singular Premises hereby granted, with their appurtenances (except before, excepted), unto the said William Stymest, his heirs and assigns, forever. Provided always, and this request is upon condition, that the same Grant be registered in the Secretary's Office of Our said Province of New Brunswick, to which Registry shall be attached a duplicate of the Plan hereunto annexed. Given under the Great Seal of Our Province of New Brunswick.
Witness Our trusty and well beloved, The Honorable John Henry Thomas Manners Sutton, Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief of Our said Province, at Fredericton, the sixteenth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight and in the seventy second year of Our Reign.
