Leah (Wentz) Diehl was the first wife of Nathan Diehl. She was a daughter of Jacob (born abt. 1883) and Maria Wentz. Nathan, Leah and their children Jonas (1838), Amandus (1840), Sarah (1843), Joel (1845) and Lucy Ann (1849) and Leah's father Jacob (1783) are listed on the 1850 Upper Milford, Lehigh Co. census. Leah was born about 1816 and appears to have died between the years 1850-1853. Nathan's daughter Emaline "Emma" (Diehl) Snyder, who was born Oct. 6, 1854 is shown on her Death Certificate to be a daughter of Nathan's second wife, Lydia......need to verify Leah's birth and death dates and correct burial location.
