This is the correct location of George's burial. He is buried on the hill by the pond on the old family farm in the Robinson District. No marker remains for George. George is not in the Riffle Chapel Cemetery in Leon, WV.George Riffle and his wife, Elizabeth, arrived in Mason County in 1801. In 1807 they purchased 148 1/2 acres across from Dr. Jesse Bennett. Riffle Chapel is located on the land that they purchased. Also, they had ten children and raised eight.

Thanks to Find A Grave contributor Katie Litchfield for the above information.

Also, from Find A Grave contirbutor David Williams:
The photo added by Leaton Clark is actually a photo of George's parents stones in Fayette Co., PA. not George and his wife's.

I was at Riffle Chapel this weekend (04/07/17) and if George is buried on the old family property at the top of the hill behind the chapel there is no longer or never was a marker for his grave.
