Mary Lee (Dodd) Adams, 72, of Independence, WV, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010, at her home. They say that angels walk among us, and we know this is true because our mother was truly an angel.
Mary was born October 9, 1937, in Pruntytown, a loving daughter of Scott William and Myrtle Frankie (Young) Dodd. She was a member of Mill Chapel United Brethren Church in Reedsville, and was loved by all who attend there.
She was a devoted mother to, Linda Lou and Robert Daniel Warnick, Melodee Kay and Raymond Earl Wolfe, Ricky Allen and Kimberly Jo (Shaffer) Adams Sr., Diana Louise and Donald Anthony McKenzie, Jimmy Ray and Nancy Jean (Baker) Adams, Micheal Lee and Kimberly Ann (Turnley) Adams; adored grandmother to, Stacy Lynn Sweitzer, Kari Nicole Knotts, Tyler Adam Rehe, Hillary Jane Rehe, Ricky Allen Adams Jr., Joshua Lee Adams, Brandy Nicole Snyder, Alia Ann Thomas, Charles Edward Adams, Morgan Renee McKenzie; several grandsons-in-law and granddaughters-in-law; beloved great-grandmother to, Lacey Lanae Warnick, Devan Daniel Warnick, Kyra Jean Adams, Tyler Grant Adams, Kali D. Childers, Damian Alexander Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Henry Adams Sr.; one son, Charles Henry Adams Jr.; two great-granddaughters, Katelynn Blake Switzer and Alyssa Renee Thomas; three brothers, Clyde J. Dodd, Henry B. Dodd, Jerry M. Dodd; one sister, Phyllis Lane.

Interment will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery on Dog Town Road.
