H/O Lydia (Wineland) Letson. Son of Thomas White Letson born 16 May 1756, died 2 Dec 1849, who served in the Revolutionary War under Capt. Hugh Dunn's Co., First Regiment, Middlesex Co., NJ Militia as a Private. Thomas is buried at Rumson Cemetery.
Asher's son Hugh Letson served as a Judge in Ohio and had a clothing business.∼Came to Hardin Co OH from NJ in 1832,
he and his wife Lydia settled in Pleasant Twp.
Both bodies said to have been removed from Pioneer to Judge Hugh Letson lot in 1885 in new cemetery. Although they are not listed in the Grove Cemetery transcripts.
It is written removal was witnessed by grandson Asher Letson and Judge David Gooden.
According to Asher Letson Sr obit, each child rec'd his own farm upon their Father's passing-
They each were originally buried in Pioneer for 35 years-
