Anthony "Tony" Horta, 45, of Palm Desert, California, passed away June 11, 2014, at home with his partner, Cecil Gore and his mom by his side.
He was born Nov. 16, 1968, to Margaret Horta, in Gilroy, California.
He was an accountant for various companies for 15 years. He was a member of Guide Dogs of the Desert.
He is survived by a sister, Theresa Lerma Wren, and his mother, Margaret Horta.
A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass on June 20, 2014, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 82470 Bliss Ave., Indio, California.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. June 20, 2014, at the American Legion, 44200 Sun Gold St., Indio, California. Rose Mortuary of Palm Desert is in charge of arrangements.

Anthony was a loving son to Margaret Horta, a loving brother to Theresa Lerma, and a loving partner to Cecil Gore. He was beloved by many including the Horta, Rodriguez, Escobar, Duarte, and Lerma families.
Anthony was a graduate of Gilroy High School's Class of 1986 and will always be remembered for his outrageous laughs and determined spirit.
