ACTON. In Cromwell, Mrs. Helen (Anderson) Acton, 79, formerly of ingham Hill Road, Essex, died Friday (Nov. 27). She was the widow of Charles Acton. She was born In Charlofte, N.C. Nov. 11, 1902, a daughter of the late James and Emma (Keith) Anderson.
She taught school in Charlotte, N.C. and in the 1930s, operated Alice Foote McDougall Tea Room in New York City. She was the head of the nursery and kindergar- fen of Brunswick School in Greenwich many years, retiring in 1967.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Driscoil of Chester; four grandchildren, Lesile, Lori, Charies and Jennie Pool, and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Crough of Arlington, Va. Memorial services will be Saturday (Dec. 5), 2 p.m.. af First Congregational Church of Essex. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Contributions In her memory may be made to the Children's Home, c/o Richard Petersen, Hicksville Road, Cromwell, Conn. Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, Main Street, Centerbrook, has charge of arrangements.
