He was preceded in death by his Wife, Anita Bales; Parents, Fred and Gladys Bales.
He is survived by Son, Brian Bales and daughter in law, Bridget Bales of Scottsdale, Arizona, two grandchildren, Brooke Bales of Scottsdale, Arizona and Brittany Bales of Dallas, Texas, best and lifelong friends, Don and Wilma Mull of Alcoa, Tennessee, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Paul was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. He graduated from Alcoa High School and retired from Maryville Daily Times after several years of service. He was a Kiwanis member and chairman of the Empty Pantry Fund for many years.
Private Graveside service will be held.
