Mrs. Cox died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at the Hillside Village in De Soto.
She was born Feb. 28, 1939, in Lawrence, the daughter of Elmer and Edna Marie Williams Carlson. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1957.
Mrs. Cox worked as a PBX operator for Executive Answering Service/Yellow Cab. She also worked for Allen Press and Scotch Cleaners and was a member of Parents without Partners, Square Dancing Club and the American Kennel Club with 4-H.
Survivors include three daughters, Gaylene Jones, Overbrook, Perri Kolars, Shawnee, and Linda Ellison, Eudora; a brother, Chris Carlson, McLouth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
