Blanche Glover-Augustus, 64, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at an Abilene medical center.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday at Galilee Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Robert Brooks. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Blanche was born in Cameron, Texas, on August 10, 1942. She relocated to Abilene in 1960. During her life's journey, Blanche had nine children, Cliffton Franklin, Roslyn Farris, Pamela Glover, Vonda Glover, Bliss Glover, Deirdre Augustus, Andrea' Evans, Monica and and husband, Jeffory Harrison, all whom she leaves behind. She leaves her husband of 40 years, George Augustus of Abilene; sisters, Ruby Robinson of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mary and Linda Franklin of Dallas, and Marilyn Franklin of Abilene; brothers, Lindsey and Jerry Franklin, of Abilene; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Sr. and Vivianne (Wesley) Franklin, and brothers, J. C. Franklin and Lonnie Franklin, Jr.
Blanche was everyone's mother, always taking care of the neighborhood.
