Solomon served during the Revolutionary War. He enlisted in Brimfield, Massachusetts in April 1777, served as private in Captain Teegood's company, Colonel John Nixon's Massachusetts regiment, was in the battle of White Plains, during which he was wounded in the ankle He was at the battle of D___ Heights, and was discharged in May 1780. The application further states that he was taken prisoner during his service but no details were given.

Solomon was allowed pension on his application executed May 12, 1818 at which time he resided in Gorham, Ontario County, New York, he was then aged sixty-two years.

The date and place of his birth and name of his parents were not shown. He referred to children but did not give their names and the name of his wife was not shown.
