Father of seven children, named in will in Fayette County burnt records, signed May 15, 1793 and probated Sept 1793.

He lived on the lower end of a tract of land that he gave to his son Richard Young in his will.

1st Marriage to unknown and had 4 children, Minor, Judah, Lettice, and Richard
2nd Marriage to Mildred "Milly" Douglass on Nov 29, 1781 in Orange County, Virginia, and had three children, Douglas, John, and Patsy

1785 Deed to a tract of land in Orange County, Virginia from William and Mildred Young to William Campbell, found in College of William & Mary, Special Collection of Research Center, id247230

In his Will, he gave to his daughter Judah Martin, George Lewis' bond for 300 acres of land assigned by Thomas Brooks., and to her husband, James Martin, he gave him the 210 acres of which they lived next to William Young's brother, John Young Sr, and Scottish born and (Dundee, Scotland) raised James Young, tailor and baptist preacher, who he deeded a tract on East Hickman Creek in 1790 (later moved to Barren County, Ky in 1803).

He owned half interests in a gristmill and sawmill that he gave to his son, Richard. He also owned a distillery for whiskey.
